Loretto Heights Metropolitan Districts Nos. 1-5 General Explanation

The Loretto Heights Metropolitan Districts Nos. 1-5 are Title 32 Special Districts that have been established for the purpose of financing and street, park and recreation, water, sanitation, transportation, mosquito control, safety protection, and television relay and translation improvements of the Districts, and the provision of covenant enforcement, design review, and security services; and all other improvements or services permitted by Article 1, Title 32, C.R.S. (collectively, the “Public Improvements and Services”), except as specifically limited by the Service Plans for the Districts approved by the Denver City Council on August 26, 2019, as it may be amended from time to time (the “Service Plan”).

The Public Improvements and Services are for the use and benefit of the residents and taxpayers of the Districts. The Districts are located in the City and County of Denver, Colorado. The Districts are quasi-municipal political subdivisions of the State of Colorado authorized to provide specialized services that the City and County of Denver do not provide.

The Districts, in the aggregate, may incur a maximum debt of $96,900,000. The Districts may impose a mill levy on taxable property within their boundaries, and may use various other revenue sources authorized by law to repay such debt.

The Districts may each assess a maximum Debt Mill Levy of 50 mills, as adjusted after August 26, 2019, to repay such debt.

The Districts must file an Annual Report to the City and County of Denver Clerk and Recorder.

The Districts’ boundaries overlap with the boundaries of the City and County of Denver; West Arapahoe Conservation District; and Denver County 1 School District.

Loretto Heights Programming Metropolitan District General Explanation

The Loretto Heights Programming Metropolitan District is a Title 32 Special District that has been established for the purpose of installing street, park and recreation, water, sanitation, transportation, mosquito control, safety protection, and television relay and translation improvements of the District, and the provision of covenant enforcement, design review, and security services; and all other improvements or services permitted by Article 1, Title 32, C.R.S. (collectively, the “Public Improvements and Services”), except as specifically limited by the Service Plan for the District approved by the Denver City Council on August 26, 2019, as it may be amended from time to time (the “Service Plan”).

The Programming District is not authorized to incur general obligation debt or to impose a mill levy to repay debt. 

The District must file an Annual Report with the City of Denver, the Division of Local Government, the State Auditor, and the Denver County Clerk & Recorder.

The District’s boundaries overlap with the boundaries of the City and County of Denver; West Arapahoe Conservation District; and Denver County 1 School District.

Matters of an emergent nature do NOT include emergencies, which should be directed to the appropriate emergency personnel by contacting 9-1-1, or matters which can wait until regular business hours, which should be addressed via any of the methods available on the "Contact Us" page:
